Please note:

4th Jan - Tuesday, practice as usual from 2:30 to 5pm

5th Jan - Wednesday, the sec ones will be having cca try outs from 1:15 to 3:15pm at D2- 04.
Working comm and music comm are required to come down and help out. The rest
can join in if you're interested.

7th Jan - Friday, sectionals at 2:30pm and practice ends at 5pm

Thats all. And People, January is a new month so... REMEMBER to bring your choir fund. Pass this info around and make sure you guys attend the practice. Happy new year's eve! :)

Hey people! So.....

Us leaders have an idea about us choir singing some choral pop songs like Korean pop, Chinese pop, English pop and all rather than the usual choral style.

Any suggestions? Post them on the tagboard!
e.g. Nobody, Sorry Sorry, Glee

I personally think we should sing Somebody To Love by the Glee Cast! But please don't suggest songs like Abracadabra by Brown Eyed Girls although I like them or Lucifer by SHINee (i know some of you girls like SHINee~) because they will be too hard to arrange and Gene will die.

Woohoo I am so excited about this so please give some suggestions asap! Most probably we'll ask again before the Gioia concert tomorrow. Remember, 6.45pm at the Esplanade Art Gallery! Please do not wear slippers or shorts and wear appropriate clothing. Be punctual! You guys can bring a piece of paper to note down which song you like best and why and tell on Monday. Easiest way to get there is by MRT, you can change stations to Serangoon or Dhoby Ghaut via North East Line then to Esplanade MRT station and you can find your way to the Art Gallery.

Also, choir practice from 1pm-5pm on Monday!

Hey everyone(Or those who actually read this blog)! So, this Friday (23/7) we're having the concert thingy at Paya Lebar Methodist Girls'. Have you sold any tickets? If yes, good for you! If not, do try okay?

Anyway, here's some advice you WILL take:

Practice tomorrow (20/7) will be cancelled, due to O Levels Listening Comprehension. There will be one last choir practice before the concert on the 22nd, this Thursday, 2.30pm.

It can be any colour except black/white. We're not sure if polo tees are allowed but just bring what you have.

• BLACK HEELS (GIRLS)

If you do not have any of the above items, please try your best to look for them. You can borrow from your friends/family/pets/rhino. Only contact your SLs if you really really have a problem. We are ok with a few people asking about things but recently, we've been getting a lot of SMSes so it will be nice if you guys can co-operate.

How Png Gene made CVSS choir history.

I have come to a very noble conclusion. The time has come.. to tell you the tale of how Gene almost died. Indeed! The tale that every kingsmen and knight has heard of. You will read it here.

Our journey to Genting was exhausting. We braved the harsh weather, traveled up mountains and hills and crossed rivers and bridges on horses. After 3 very long hours, we arrived.
We walked our horses to the stables provided by the kind hotel people and went back to the hotel to get some rest.

On the 2nd and 3rd day, we practiced very hard. Armed with our swords and armors, we sang songs of flowing rivers and underaged princesses. Very tough, indeed.

On the 4th day, we had a friendship performance. We were all very nervous. But we all knew that we could not escape performing. We all took a deep breath and were led on stage by our glamorous conductor.

I was given the most difficult task of all. To play the piano. However, I could not locate the piano. It was no where to be seen. COULD IT BE THE DRAGONS? I've always known that they were up to something. But alas! My sharp eyes spotted the piano. It was on the ground, not on the stage! My heart started to pound. I have to get to the piano! The choir is nothing without their noble pianist. I braced myself as I stood at the edge of the stage. Gingerly, I lifted my gown. Just when I was going to jump off the stage...

I was saved by a knight in shining armor (on a handsome horse)! Could it be.... ? Sir Alex Gaskarth! Why, never in my wildest dreams would I ever... "Fear not, my lady! For I will direct you to the path of righteousness!" He picked me off the ground and placed me behind him. The bunch of beavers behind him squeaked eagerly as the horse trotted to the middle of the stage.

STAIRS! This knight is a genius. I gave him a curtsy and he nodded. "I will return for you," he said with a kind smile. I walked down the stairs and went to the piano. Then, the performance started.

That, my pickles, was the long awaited story.

Sorry choir , it was me who did the job to spoil the blog . Im very very sorry please forgive . I was trying to put a pop-up window into the blog to make it more nicer but doing that , the layout must be changed into template so when i did it , it changed into this ugly format i didn't know it would be affected but all the same its all my fault .Scold me , hate me , dun talk to me . Your have the every right to do that cause i was the one who distroyed it . But the only solution that i can think of is to change from template to layout back to retrieve the last time choir's background . Although we got countless mosquito bites and accomodation was kind of horrible and some of us didn't get to bathe and we're losing our voices because of campfire(Chief Joel, huh girls?) and our skin's peeling off, we definitely had fun and bonded with our classes, right??
